Catholic schools are entirely dependent on tuition dollars and the generous investment of private philanthropy. Your support is critical to continuing the positive impact of Catholic education on thousands of children in Greater Boston.
The Honor Roll is an annual leadership giving society committed to the long-term success of Catholic Schools in Greater Boston. Representing individuals, foundations, and corporations who annually contribute $2,500 or more in unrestricted support of CCS, the Honor Roll accounts for 94% of the current-use funds.
The Annual Fund supports the education of 1,600 students every day at our partner schools through unrestricted gifts of less than $2,500. Gifts to the Annual Fund support enhanced academics, improved teacher salaries/teacher support, updated technology, and scholarship assistance.
Established in Spring 2017, the $25 million Fund for the Future is a multi-year philanthropic effort to strengthen academics, financials, and leadership at our Academies and to build new programs for teacher and principal support, which can be replicated at other schools. The Fund for the Future also includes an endowment component to provide a steady income stream for Catholic school improvement programs.
The Trustees have set the following goals for the Fund for the Future:
$12.5M—to fund ongoing programs and operations
$6.5M—for new teacher/principal leadership and support programs, such as college loan debt forgiveness for qualified teachers, higher pay for performance, Master’s degree opportunities, and new teacher and principal leadership positions and training
$6M—in permanent endowment to fund scholarships and annual school operating/program needs
Endowed funds have been established by friends and families, often in memory or in honor of family members or loved ones. Funds can be established with a gift of $10,000 or more and may be added to over time to support faculty, student scholarships, capital improvements, and school programs and initiatives.
